This durability allows for a sufficiently increased life cycle of flame retardant clothing. With Volcano, you do not have to sacrifice safety, because at a weight of only 260 gsm (7.7oz), Volcano meets the requirements of HRC level 2 (defined by NFPA 70E) with ATPV 8.2 cal/cm2. An antistatic carbon yarn is embedded in the surface of Volcano, making it safe for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. To prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) sparks, antistatic fibres safely dissipate static electricity, eliminating the risk of fire and explosion. Volcano FR fabric is also certified to EN ISO 11612 and EN ISO 11611 standards for protective clothing. Volcano also has an additional multi-risk treatment that provides extra protection against acids, oil, grease and water. The multi-risk properties are confirmed by the ISO 13034 certificate.
