Gefest-420 flame retardant protective fabric is designed for professional welders’ clothing in various fields such as engineering, metallurgy, oil and gas pipeline construction, automotive, etc. Gefest’s satin weave is extremely useful in protective overalls, bibs or aprons for welders and other workers, allowing molten metal droplets to easily run off the smooth surface of the fabric. Made from natural fibres, it is comfortable to wear and at the same time Gefest-420 protects against the risks of flash fire and electric arc. With an excellent ATPV parameter (20 cal/cm2), Gefest-420 can meet the requirements of HRC level 3 (25 cal/cm2) with the use of additional flame retardant underwear.

Industrial wash vs domestic wash — what's the difference?

Industrial laundering. EN ISO 15797 simulates professional industrial laundry with controlled washing and finishing procedures.

Domestic laundering. EN ISO 6330 uses standardized household-machine programmes. It is not the same as industrial laundering; follow the finished garment's care label.

Yes — every fabric can be cut to length from one metre at the listed price, with no cutting surcharge. A full roll (50–70 m of fabric, 100 m of reflective tape) is the better deal for production runs: trade accounts get individual roll and volume pricing.

How long does delivery take?

Orders ship from warehouse stock in Poland, Romania and Portugal: 1–2 business days within Poland, 2–7 business days across the EU, 4–10 outside it. Orders of €100 or more (incl. VAT) ship free to every EU country.

Do the prices include VAT?

Catalogue prices are shown ex-VAT, because the correct rate depends on who is buying and where the order ships from. Checkout shows the exact VAT for your order before you pay — EU businesses with a valid VAT number buy cross-border at 0% under reverse charge.

Is the stock reserved once I order?

Yes. The moment you place an order, the quantity is booked for you in the warehouse for seven days — time enough to arrange payment and paperwork. Availability shown on this page is live warehouse stock.

Can I return fabric?

Uncut rolls and packed accessories — yes, consumers have the statutory 14-day withdrawal right. Fabric cut to your metreage is exempt by EU law (it is cut for you from a larger roll), so order a test metre first if you need to verify the material. Details in the returns guide.
