Flame-retardant (FR) fabrics resist ignition and self-extinguish once the flame is removed, protecting the wearer from burns. XM FireLine™ offers combed-cotton and cotton-blend fabrics with a Double FR (THPC) treatment, plus inherently flame-resistant modacrylic and aramid blends. Ranges are tested by the ISO 15025 vertical burn test and certified to EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611, EN 1149, EN 61482 and EN 13034, in weights from ~56 to 480 g/m² that hold their FR performance after 50–100 industrial washes — for oil, gas, energy, welding and utilities.

Standard & certification guides

The standards behind this range, explained on xmtextiles.com — what each one covers and how to choose compliant material.

Frequently asked questions

Which standards do XM FireLine FR fabrics meet?

Depending on the line: EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611, EN 1149, EN 61482 and EN 13034. Each product page lists its own certificates.

Treated vs inherent FR — what's the difference?

Treated cotton uses a Double FR (THPC) finish; inherent fabrics (modacrylic/aramid) have FR built into the fibre, so it never washes out. Both self-extinguish.

How many washes do they withstand?

FR performance holds after 50 or 100 industrial wash cycles, depending on the product line.

Which industries are they for?

Oil and gas, energy, heavy machinery, welding and utilities, where EN ISO 11612 or NFPA 2112 compliance is required.
