Volcano is a multifunctional flame retardant fabric made from a cotton-nylon blend. The fabric also contains antistatic carbon yarn. Stylish Satin 4/1 weave. Volcano is widely used for FR clothing for oil and gas companies. Volcano is an innovative flame retardant fabric made from a cotton-nylon blend that is extremely tear resistant and durable. This durability allows for a sufficiently increased life cycle of flame retardant clothing. With Volcano, you do not have to sacrifice safety, because at a weight of only 260 gsm (7.7oz), Volcano meets the requirements of HRC level 2 (defined by NFPA 70E) with ATPV 8.2 cal/cm2. An antistatic carbon yarn is embedded in the surface of Volcano, making it safe for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. To prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) sparks, antistatic fibres safely dissipate static electricity, eliminating the risk of fire and explosion. Volcano FR fabric is also certified to EN ISO 11612 and EN ISO 11611 standards for protective clothing. Volcano also has an additional multi-risk treatment that provides extra protection against acids, oil, grease and water. The multi-risk properties are confirmed by the ISO 13034 certificate. Volcano is an excellent choice for FR clothing for oil and gas companies working in warm or hot climates. With its elegant and smooth satin weave, Volcano garments look impeccable on offshore rig chiefs as well as oil company office managers.

Industrial wash vs domestic wash — what's the difference?

Industrial laundering. EN ISO 15797 simulates professional industrial laundry with controlled washing and finishing procedures.

Domestic laundering. EN ISO 6330 uses standardized household-machine programmes. It is not the same as industrial laundering; follow the finished garment's care label.

Yes — every fabric can be cut to length from one metre at the listed price, with no cutting surcharge. A full roll (50–70 m of fabric, 100 m of reflective tape) is the better deal for production runs: trade accounts get individual roll and volume pricing.

How long does delivery take?

Orders ship from warehouse stock in Poland, Romania and Portugal: 1–2 business days within Poland, 2–7 business days across the EU, 4–10 outside it. Orders of €100 or more (incl. VAT) ship free to every EU country.
